Henry W. Kinnucan

Auburn University

Henry Kinnucan is an Alumni Professor at Auburn University where he teaches or co-teaches courses in Computer Applications, Research Methods, Journal Paper Writing, and Theory of Markets.  He has been heavily involved in graduate instruction, serving as Graduate Program Officer and Chair of the PhD Research Paper Committee at Auburn, and teaching in the graduate programs at several universities abroad, including China Agricultural University, National Taiwan Ocean University, University of Tromsø, and Zhejiang University.

His main areas of research interest are agricultural prices, marketing and trade.  He has authored or co-authored over 100 journal articles on these topics, and co-edited four books.  He has served on the editorial boards of Agribusiness: An International Journal, Agricultural Economics, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, China Agricultural Economics Review, and Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics.  He was the chief editor of the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics between 2004 and 2007, and is currently a co-editor of that journal.

His teaching, research, and service has won several awards, including the Experiment Station Director’s Senior Research Award and the Provost’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to Graduate Studies conferred by Auburn University, and the Distinguished Professional Contribution Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award conferred by the Southern Agricultural Economics Association. Dr. Kinnucan received a B.S. degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota.
